Seplaapreneurship- The 5 Cog Wheels of Sustainable Business Strategy‘ shows the reader ‘sustainability in action’.

The book is based on Dr. Ammara Farooq Malik’s doctoral thesis presented at the Business School Netherlands in 2022, with further refinement based on key learnings from her participation in the Leading Sustainable Corporations Program and Course at the Said Business School, University of Oxford in 2023.

The doctorate itself was based on action research which covers 20 years of Seplaa’s work in Asia Pacific with case studies on ‘Impact Law’, ‘Impact Business’ and ‘Gender Lens Investing’ for climate action.

The field research was  conducted with women entrepreneurs in 3 districts of Gilgit Baltistan namely Gilgit, Hunza and Nagar and was supported with funding from ICIMOD Nepal.

Further research on global initiatives and networks was conducted to connect the Global South to the Global North and finally presents the Seplaa 5 Cog Wheels for Sustainable Business Strategy that can be used as both a framework as well as a tool for a holistic approach to business success.
