SEPLAA GLOBAL IMPACT INITIATIVE (SGII)
The Seplaa Global Impact Initiative (SGII) is founded on Seplaa’s experience in the impact space since 2004. It is presently being supported by Seplaa Consultants Canada Inc.
In 2016, Seplaa’s network the Law SEFA-ME (Social Entrepreneurs for Asia & Middle East) was launched through discussions with colleagues in Turkey, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan in regional conferences held in Nepal, Maldives and Pakistan.
The Seplaa Climate Resilience Think Tank was launched in 2018 and the WIGSIB (Women In Green & Sustainable Impact Businesses) was created in 2018.
In 2019, several Seplaa projects were put on hold to make allowance for the Group restructuring, green construction and covid that spanned 3 years.
In 2022, the Seplaa Founder, Ammara Farooq Malik, was conferred with her Doctorate in Business Administration with her thesis focusing on ‘Sustainable Business Strategies for Developing Countries- A Focus on Gender, Law & Policy for Climate Action’.
Dr. Ammara Farooq Malik’s 5 Cog Wheels Sustainable Business Strategy created through her doctorate has a global application and is the foundation of the Seplaa Global Impact Initiative (SGII).
The Seplaa Global Impact Initiative (SGII) is now merging the following initiatives launched from 2016-2019:
- Law SEFA-ME
- Seplaa Climate Resilience Think Tank
- WIGSIB (Women in Green & Sustainable Impact Businesses)
The SGII is based on the UN SDG 17 which focuses on revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
Through the SGII initiative we hope to reach out to global leaders, partners, universities and law firms that are working in the impact space to co-create winning sustainable business strategies for our global members. Our goal is to create profit without compromising on our ability to create a positive impact on people, planet, policy and our purpose as human beings.
